He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Frederick Murphy and Marjorie Murphy (Gallagher); his in-laws, Alice and Harry Conlon; his brother John; and his siblings-in-law, Nick Conlon and Maggie Conlon.
He is survived by: his wife Betty (Mary Elizabeth Conlon); his children, Fred (Wendy), Sheila, Cate Brodner (Mark), John and Brick; his grandchildren, Nolan (Em) and Callie Murphy; his children, Chloe, Connor Brodner, Sara George (Michael), Zachary Murphy and Lilly Murphy; his great grandchild Abe Murphy; his brother Gus Murphy (Joyce); his siblings-in-law, Loretta Murphy and Don Conlon; and his caregivers, Becca, Susan and Yaritza.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Fred's name can be made to St. John's Homeless Shelter or a charity of individual choice.
