He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Giovannini and Dorothy Giovannini (MacDonald); his wife Kathleen "Kathy" Kerrigan; his sisters, Dorothy Annette Giovannini of Kalamazoo, MI and Gervais Zanon (Don) of Port Angeles, WA; his brother-in-law Joe Savarino of Indianapolis, IN; his children, Peter Giovannini (Elizabeth) of Conway, AR, Dorothy Kazik (Daniel) of De Pere, Anthony "Tony" Giovannini of De Pere and Dan; his granddaughters, Ashleigh Victoria Giovannini of St. Louis, MO and Anna Grace Giovannini of Fayetteville, AR.; his sister MaryElla Savarino; his siblings-in-law, Jane Kerrigan, Michael Kerrigan and John "Red" Ribbens; his niece Jeannie Kerrigan; his nephew John Ribbens; and also, Tom and Dorothy Kerrigan.

“I'm a 1970 SNC grad and a Yooper from Norway MI. My direction at SNC kept me from taking a class from "Dan" although I was aware of his presence at SNC. After reading his obituary I wished I had been blessed enough to take one of his classes. The obituary is one for the ages -- well-written to say the least. Had to be many misty eyes and yet, giggles after reading it. I especially was attracted to his favorite dental work groaner. Immediately sent it to my best pun friend. Al Carlotto”
