He was predeceased by: his father Paul DeTennis Sr.; and his niece Aubrey Rose. He is survived by: his mother Betty DeTennis (Bressers); his niece Chloe; his goddaughter Ava; his siblings, Trina DeTennis and Paul DeTennis (Kim); his aunts, Suzanne Pahl and Julie; his uncle Bob Kidney; his godfathers, Gary Jadin and John Kautzer Sr.; and also, Laurie and Amy Clark.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for Alex.
