She was predeceased by: her daughter Carrie Buie; and her father Steven Smith. She is survived by: her mother Paula Burke; her siblings, Tom Smith (Bonnie), John Smith, Donna Lessner (Mark), Steve Smith (Stacy) and Sarah Elzen (Tony); her grandson Dantae Smith; and her close friend Byron Gorman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
