He was predeceased by: his parents, George Grimm and Elizabeth Grimm (Lamping); his daughter Denise; and his brothers, Gene, Fred and Joseph.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores Grimm (Bender); his son Michael of Madison; and his brother-in-law Robert Bender (Kathy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
