She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Strand; her daughter Virginia Schlies; and her siblings, Colette "Mousie" and Roma "Mousie". She is survived by: her parents, Andrew Schwartz and Dora Schwartz; her son Todd Strand; her siblings, Winnie Walters and Virginia Schwartz; and also Thomas "Tucker" Schwartz (Merlene). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Excel Center, in Okolona, Mississippi.
