He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Whalen and Mona Whalen (Ward); his wife Margaret Loudell Paynter; his son Gerald; and his brothers, Duane and Keith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judith Whalen of Darlington, Margie Whalen (Mark Zager) of Madison and Marilyn Bustle (John) of Asbury, IA.; his grandchildren, Perry Bustle of Darlington, Tim and Amanda Bustle; his great grandchildren, Avery and Soren of Stuart, FL; his granddaughter Valerie Bustle Richmond (Brad); his great grandchild Theodore of Huntersville, NC.; his brother Delbert; and also, Marian Paynter of Darlington, Gloria Sargent of Shullsburg and Marion Howard of Darlington. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Due to Wisconsin state mandate, masks are to be worn for the duration of your visit inside the funeral home and that proper social distancing guidelines are practiced.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
