He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McCarten and Mercedes McCarten (Rielly); his brother Dan McCarten; his nephew Gavin McCarten; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Annie Huntington; and his brothers-in-law, Jack, Ted and Dean Huntington.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Huntington; his daughters, Michelle Runge (Hal) of Neillsville, WI, Cindy Van Fossen (Jason) of Davenport, IA and Briana McCarten Thomas (Morgan) of Ft. Collins, CO; his grandchildren, Karey, Jade, Olivia Sierra and Daniel Thomas; his great grandchildren, Rio, Vienna, Reese, Nivi, Varro and Dahlia; his siblings, Bob McCarten (Pennie) of Janesville, WI and Myra Taylor (John) of Darlington; his nieces and nephews, Shawn McCarten (Marci), Brandon McCarten, Allison Taylor, Meghan Solberg (Brad), Kris Penniston and Kathy Penniston-Smith; and his sister-in-law Rosalie Huntington (Ron Kittleson). He is also survived by great-nieces, nephews, special cousins, and friends.
