He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Whalen and Lucille Whalen (Waul); his brother Tom Whalen; and his father-in-law Jim (Marian Bryson). He is survived by: his wife Jane Whalen (Bryson); his children, Brittany Long (Shawn) of Darlington, Christian Whalen (Lindsay) of Fuquay Varina and Tim Whalen (Liz) of Libby, Montana; his grandchildren, Colton Long (Gina Douglas), Bryce, Brady Long, Jamison, Bennett, Rosalie and Emmett Whalen; his great grandchild Levi Long; his siblings, Jim Whalen (Sherry) of Darlington, Ed Whalen (Kathy) of Georgia, Jerry Whalen of Indiana and Karen Whalen of San Francisco, CA; and his sister-in-law Marilyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers and plants, a memorial fund has been established in Pat's name.
