We bid farewell to Shirley A. Engle of Darien, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shirley touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Engle and Anna Engle (Zimmerman). She is survived by: her husband Ken Van Acker; her daughter Carmen Benavides; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Nyhus (Jeremy), Erika Shafar (Devin) and Raymond Benavides (Destiny Kraus); and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Kasey, Ethan, Korbyn, Taylor and Jaxon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
