She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Whalen and Helen Whalen (Czarneski); her brother Arthur Whalen Jr.; her sister-in-law Patricia; and her niece Debbie.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Barkas; her children, Shawn Barkas (Christal Lord) of Ladysmith, WI, Monica Frattaroli of Stamford, CT, Shane Barkas (Karen) of West Allis, WI and Eric Barkas (Brenda) of Darien, WI; and her grandchildren, Zachary and Kendra. She is also survived by many nieces and a nephew.
