He was predeceased by: his mother Ingrid Strand (Moe); his daughter Melery Long; and his siblings, Arnold, Leif, Donald Strand and Jordis Bogart.
He is survived by: his wife Merry (Stirmel); his children, Marlin Strand (Colleen), Marilyn Lane (John), Marlene Deschler (Joey) and Michael Strand (Lia); his son-in-law Chuck Long; and his sisters, June Nelmark, Ethel Taylor and Margit Sample (Ken). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
