With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Carl Aakhus of Danbury, Wisconsin, born in Willow River, Minnesota, who passed away on October 12, 2022 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gunsten and Dora Aakhus (Grugal); and his brother Miles Aakhus. He is survived by: his wife Carol Aakhus (Moore); his children, Pamela Sandelin (Mark), Craig Aakhus (Jill), Steven Aakhus (Cindy) and Paula Aakhus; his sister Carol Ouellette; and his grandchildren, Carl, Carolyn Sneep, Blake, David, Amy Aakhus, Ariel Thompson (Jon), Erik Aakhus, Cooper Aakhus (Clara), Matthew Ekstrand and Daniel Skarsten. He is also survived by three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
