He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Swanson and Alice Swanson (Torkelson); his wife Lavonne Swanson (Iverson); and his brother Robert Swanson (Bob). He is survived by: his daughters, Jodie Swanson and Karlyn Petaja (Jason); his stepchildren, David Erickson (Jane), Charlie Erickson, Jon Erickson (Ellen), Nicole Schmidt (Todd) and Brandon Ward (Marcy); his grandchildren, Shantina, Sara Swanson, Mady Petaja, Quinn, Kyle, Owen Erickson, Kevin, Joe Erickson, Julia, Maggie, Eva Schmidt and Audrey Ward; his great grandchildren, Gavin Eastgate, Emma and Ellie Moe; and his brother Don Swanson (Deb).
