It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter F. Shafer of Cumberland, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Shafer and Edith Shafer (Vernon); and his wife Florence "Toots" Giannone. He is survived by: his children, Robert Shafer of San Diego, CA, JoAnn Millermon of Kingman, AZ and Peggy Lloyd (John) of Rice Lake, WI. He is also survived by four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
