He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurston Long and Irene Long (Rowe); his daughter Joy Renae Brown; and his siblings, Millie, Eleanor, Ella, Ilene, Florence, Johnny, Bill and Thurston Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Kay Long of Cumberland, WI; his son Curt Long (Debra) of Katy, TX; and his grandchildren, Curtis Long, Ashlee Long, Cassie Brown and Eric Brown. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
