He is survived by: his mother Marcella Effertz (Hammer); his wife Renee; his children, Jessica Pickard (Mark), Ryan Effertz (Crystal) and Veronica Koehler (Jason); his stepsons, Craig Hedke (Kate) and Steve Hedke (Jenn); his grandchildren, Kierra (Hunter Pickard), Abbie (Cassie Effertz), Tristan (Tatum Hedke) and Lincoln (Jyrecho Hedke); and his siblings, Sharon Van Dyke (Miles), Mike Effertz (Penny), Steven Effertz (Judy), Jim Effertz (Val), Dan Effertz (Julie), Terry Effertz, Ken Effertz, Barb Lombard (Jim) and Daren Effertz (Clara). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
