He is survived by: his wife Rita Benson of Clear Lake; his sons, Dale Benson (Cindy) of Jim Falls and Daniel Benson (Landy) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Katherine and James Benson; his stepgrandchildren, Eduardo, Carlos, Casie, Kaira and Krista; his sisters, Debra Colegrove (Brad) of Clear Lake and Connie Miller (Bruce) of Turtle Lake; his nieces, Hollie Colegrove, Stacey Hanson (Bill) and Laura Miller (Stan Jarocki); and his nephew Scott Colegrove (Amy).
