He is survived by: his children, Cary Ann Bents (Smokey), David Allen Carlson (Chris) and Jennifer Lynn Buchholz (Tom); his grandchildren, Steve Shortess, Tom Shortess, Amy Roff (Huck), Bryan Carlson (Jess), Josh Swanson and Jason Buchholz; his great grandchildren, Chenoa, Traeton, Tanner, Claire, Eva, CeCe, Blake, Eastyn, Eisley and Shon; his great great grandchildren, Theodorah and OpheliaRae; his brother James Carlson (Karen); his siblings-in-law, Steve Jansen, Dianne Peterson and Claire Carlson; and his pet Poodie.
