He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Oliver and Hildegard Bye. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Sheila Ann Kerley (William) of Mount Pleasant, WI, Gail Celestine Carton-Adinamis (Michael) of Lake Forest, IL and Derek Roy Bye (Angela) of Arlington, TX; his grandson Zachary Derek Bye of Arlington, TX; his children, Justin William Kerley (Lindsay) of Mequon, WI, Andrew Carton of Scottsdale, AZ, Briana Marie Sargent (Matthew) of Green Oaks, IL and Nicholas Adinamis of Indiana; and his great grandchildren, Haley Kerley, Mackenzie Kerley, Emma Sargent and Abigail Sargent.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to one's favorite charity in the name of Roy have been suggested.
