It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle T. McDermott (Cuba City, Wisconsin), who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orland McDermott and Mary McDermott (Kramer); and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Brady and Ronald Blume. He is survived by: his wife Sherri Halverson of New Diggings, WI; his children, Cory McDermott (Anna) of Portland, OR, Callie Fagan (Brett) of Onslow, IA and Carmen Saylor (Collin) of Dyersville, IA; his stepson Wyatt Mohn of Cokeville, WY; his granddaughter Elaina Fagan; his siblings, Lloyd McDermott (Dianne) of Epworth, IA, William McDermott of Pembina, ND, Patricia Brady of Epworth, IA, Marian Blume of Epworth, IA, Donald McDermott (Lynne) of Epworth, IA, Daniel McDermott (Joyce) of Epworth, IA, Gary McDermott (Patti) of Epworth, IA and James McDermott (Jenny) of Epworth, IA; his parents-in-law, Charles and Ruth Halverson of Benton, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Halverson (Lisa) of Cassville, WI and Marcia Adams (David) of Kohler, WI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
