He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse J. Schwendinger and Catherine Schwendinger (Cleary); his siblings, Robert (Dorothy), Anthony, John (Jean), Donald Schwendinger, Kathleen McKillip (John) and Margie Saugling (Donald); and his brothers-in-law, Roy Weydert and Fred McGovern.
He is survived by: his sisters, Rosemary Weydert of Winthrop, IA and Virginia McGovern of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Raphael's Cathedral (231 Bluff St, Dubuque, IA 52001). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
