She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Ballert and Bernice Ballert; and her husband John P. Welke, Jr.. She is survived by: her son John M. (Nancy) of Sun Prairie; her sister Lorraine Schmitz; her daughter Janet Jones (John); her stepdaughter LuAnn Gallagher (Rick) of Arena; and her foster son Daniel Hoppenjan of Darlington. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Oakwood Hospice or UW Foundation/Alzheimer's Research.
