He was predeceased by: his father Chuong Nguyen. He is survived by: his mother Van Ly; his wife Trish Hoang; his daughter Helen Nguyen; his aunts and uncles, Hiep Nguyen, Truong Ly, Lien Nguyen, Tuyet Nguyen, Bieu Nguyen, Dieu Nguyen, Xuan Ly, Tam Ly, Nga Ly and Thuy Ly; and his brother Luan Nguyen. He is also survived by cousins and friends.

He was especially proud of being honored as one of the "40 under 40" most successful and civic-minded young professionals in the Greater Madison area in 2020, a testament to his professional and personal contributions to the community.
