He was predeceased by: his mother Karen Ruf (Vannes). He is survived by: his father Roger Ruf; his former wife Tammie Collette; his sons, Ryan (Ana), Brandon and Sean; his grandchildren, Brayden, Mason, Gavin and Clara; his siblings, Steve, Sherri Geurts (Rick) and Lynn Geurts; and his foster sister Vikki Nason (Charles). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
