It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Edward Frantz (Cottage Grove, Wisconsin), born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Frantz and Ruby Frantz; and his son Paul. He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, David (Cindy Thompson), Gerry (Katie Frantz), Beth (Keith Browning) and Julie (John Wilson); and his sister Geri Frantz. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
He was a huge advocate for wire face masks in the youth hockey programs and was an integral part of making this mandatory for youth hockey players.
