We bid farewell to Janice E. Horstmeyer of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, born in Evansville, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 3, 2024 at the age of 86. Janice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Abey and Famie Abey (Elmer); her husband Victor Horstmeyer; and her brother Harold Abey Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Douglas Horstmeyer (Christine), David Horstmeyer (Shannon) and Heidi Petersen (Chad). She is also survived by four grandsons, three step grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Meat Animal Sale Scholarship Fund, Messiah Lutheran Church or Hope Cottage Grove Cemetery.
