He was predeceased by: his parents, Kyle Davidson and Ada Davidson (Dunbar); and his siblings, Leslie, Arnold, Kenneth and Esther Gerber.

He is survived by: his wife Doreen Ruud; his children, Barbara Hyder (Kirk), Nancy Pike (Jonathan), Dennis Davidson (Cheryl) and Judy Davidson; his grandchildren, Andrew Rowe (Amy), Trevor, Katie Pike, Jeffrey Davidson, Jennifer Coolidge (Thomas), Brian Jones and Kevin Jones (Victoria); and his sister-in-law Caryl Larson (James). He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
