He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilmer Kolmodin and Lois Kolmodin (Halberg); his grandson Cameron Garde; and the mother of his child Gayle Kolmodin. He is survived by: his wife Patti Garde; his son Paul Kolmodin of Plano, TX; his stepson Jim Garde (Colleen) of Sun Prairie; his grandchildren, Branden and Avery Garde; his sister Donna Hiller (Gary) of Lockport, IL; his siblings-in-law, Michael Howe (Jennie Watson) of Deerfield, WI and Joyce Cox of Roscoe, IL; and his nieces, Lisa and Kristin Hiller.
