He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Ably and Irene Ably (Strasser); his brother Gerald; and his brother-in-law Ernie Messer. He is survived by: his wife Carrie; his sister Donna Mae Messer; and his children, Marc Meverden (Janel), Michelle Geary (Todd), Alison Nikolai, Shawn Ably, Ray Fischer (Ana), Scott Fischer (Jackie) and Steven Fischer. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
