He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Simmerman and Margaret Simmerman (Hakes); his former wife Alice; his daughter Lisa; and his siblings, Ed, Ross, Floyd, John, Stella and Geraldine.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Simmerman; his children, Ivan Simmerman (Heather) and Becky Frenette (Paul); his stepchildren, Eric Paulson and Victoria Clohessy (Patrick); his grandchildren, Alyse, Nick, Kyle, Dan, Emily and Evan; his stepgrandchildren, Corbin, Micah and Lydia; and his great grandchildren, Jase, Korra, Camilia, Ava, Joe, Lisa, Nora and Molly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
