He was predeceased by: his parents, Albin Urbanek and Julia Urbanek (Bouda); and his siblings, James Urbanek, Arlene and Darlene.
He is survived by: his wife Ardice Scharping; his children, Dale (Cheryl) of Cashton, Daniel (Mary) of Tomah, Allen (Kirstie) of Bangor, Lisa Proksch (David) of DeSoto and Sara Van Dam (Steven) of New Berlin; his grandchildren, Ryan Urbanek (Sarah), Casey Herman (Jimmy), Carrie (Patrick Rodebaugh), Katelyn Murphy (Matt Gribben), Rachel Cornwell (Kyle), Ashley Leiterman (Brandon), Wendy Smutzer (Jacob), Abbie Urbanek, Alissa, Seth and Matthew Van Dam; his great grandchildren, Ezekiel, Hazel Cornwell, Hannah Leiterman and Herman; and his sisters-in-law, Janet Dunnum and Bernadine Scharping. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
