It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip J. Bakkestuen (Coon Valley, Wisconsin), who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bakkestuen and Annette "Tootsie" Bakkestuen (Ofte); and his brother Jeffrey "Fritz". He is survived by: his son Joseph Bakkestuen (Renee); his grandson John; his sisters, Jo Ann Palmer and Tena Goodwin (Mark); his nieces and nephews, Jessey Bakkestuen (Tim), Ash Goodwin (Hailie) and Autumn Goodwin (Jordan); his sister-in-law Yvonne Bakkestuen; his close friend Lex; and his pet Peanut.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seland Funeral Home (204 Central Ave, Coon Valley, WI 54623). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Vang Lutheran Church (S1721 Vang Rd, Westby, WI 54667).
