She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Mathison and Vivian Mathison (Hagen); and her sister Julie Craft. She is survived by: her husband Donald R. Role; her children, Donna Nelson (Dan) of Westby, Brian (Jen Johnson) of Westby and Bradley (Kelly) of Coon Valley; her sister Cheryl Nelson (Paul) of Sparta; her grandchildren, Alison Emmart (Jared) of La Crosse, Danielle Callahan (Brady) of Sheboygan, Erik Role (Katie Conklin) of Madison and Andy Role (Ari Weaver) of Madison; and her great grandchildren, Elsie, Isak Emmart of La Crosse and Vivian Callahan of Sheboygan. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
In honor of her love of her community, donations should be directed to the Coon Creek Veterans Memorial Committee or the Coon Valley Lutheran Church.
