He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wollenberg and Helen Wollenberg (Winetski); and his sisters, Elaine Homman (Lyle) and Marilyn Williams (Phil). He is survived by: his wife Joan Schumacher of Paul's Catholic Church; his children, Kurt Wollenberg (Carmen) and Sara Zehner (Jim); his grandchildren, Luke Wollenberg (Liz), Brittany Zehner (Robbie), Chelsea Wellens (Nate) and Abby Van Boxtel (Dakota); his great grandchildren, Jameson Wollenberg, Crew Wellens and Colton Van Boxtel; and his sister-in-law Joan Schumacher. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name.
