He was predeceased by: his parents, John Minten and Norma Minten (Smits); his wife Marilyn Smits; his brother Gene Minten; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Hammen, Marvin Smits and Carol Smits.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy McMahon (Tom) of Little Chute, Tracey VanHoof (Paul) of Dexter, Michigan, Jeff Minten (Deanna) of Kimberly and Brian Minten (Cindy) of Maricopa, Arizona.; his grandchildren, Brad McMahon (Angie), Jill Verstegen (Tim), Tim McMahon (Megan), Jacob VanHoof, Morgan VanHoof, Courtney Minten, Zachary Minten, Jordyn Minten and Brianna Van Haaster; his great grandchildren, Layton, Taylor, Bennett McMahon, Luke, Evie Verstegen, Elouise, Jude, Marlo McMahon, Audey, Austyn Frank, Cooper and Colt Van Haaster; his siblings, Joan Hammen of Combined Locks, Nancy Bolwerk (Clair) of Kimberly and Dave Minten (Carolyn) of DePere; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Minten of Darboy and Janice Fuhrman (Ed) of Hazelhurst. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
