She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Surfus Sr. and Clarinda; her husband Allan Pfile; her stepfather William Lunn; her in-laws, Florence, Howard Gigstead and Marvel Pfile; her siblings, Grace Surfus, Carol Thuss, Sue Nitschke and Cecil Surfus Jr.; and her son-in-law Danny Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Schmidt (late Danny), Cheryl Pfile, Steve Pfile (Sarah) and Dave Pfile (Colleen); her grandchildren, Dustin Pfile, Jase Pfile, Alexis Friebel (Nick), Zach Pfile, Nick Pfile, Carter Pfile and Daria Pfile; her great grandchildren, Jackson and Ezra; her sister June Haack; and her sister-in-law Nancy Haskel (Dennis).
