It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clarke M. Poad D. V. M. (Combined Locks, Wisconsin), born in Hancock, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Poad and Carrie Poad. He is survived by: his wife Therese; his son Chris; his grandchildren, Dr. Carrie Howe (Ben) of Ham Lake, Minnesota and Bob Buss (Bobbi) of Muskego, Wisconsin; his great grandchildren, Morgan Aperi (Jake), Gabby, Kendall Buss, Rosamond and Ben Howe Jr.; his mother-in-law Mary Wendt of Appleton, Wisconsin; and his family, Jones, Sammi, Barb, Ester, Peter and Bat (family: Red, Ella). He is also survived by sisters- and brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

“Clarke was a special friend in 1958-1962 when we were classmates at the UMN in Pre-Vet Program & then in 1st 4 quarters of UMN Vet School. We spent much time together studying for tests at his house. His wife Pat cooked meals for us when we were studying together. I saw their son Chris grow up during those yrs. We lost touch when I decided to go Med School instead & got accepted. But I never forgot Clarke & did touch base with him 3 yrs ago. My sympathies to All. Raymond Weiss, MD, FACP”
