He was predeceased by: his parent Carl Kessler; and his sisters, Mary Van Krey and JoAnn Coenen. He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth Kessler (Schaeffer); his wife Grace; his children, Susan Zahn (Bob), Kathryn Cardoza (Tony), Jane Shaffer (Tim), Lora Ring (Jim) and Tim Kessler; his siblings, Bill Kessler, Elizabeth Biesterveld, George Kessler (Pat) and Chris Wierzbinski (Rob); and his brothers-in-law, David Hartzheim (Dolores) and Leon Hartzheim. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
