He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Nehmer and Selma Nehmer (Jahnke); his grandson Toby Peck; and his siblings, Lester, Roger, Alvin Nehmer Jr. and Ruth Altschwager.
He is survived by: his wife Merle Foss of Columbus; his children, Patti Kirkland (Rich) of Lake Delton and John Nehmer (Mary) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Bryan Peck (Alison) of Columbus, Anni Luey (Tony) of Columbus, Ali Radke (Jon) of Johnson Creek and Nolan Nehmer of Columbus; his great grandchildren, EmmaJo, Isaac, Brendan and Harlie; and his sister Doris Friedrich of Milwaukee. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be directed to Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Columbus.
