He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and Violet Smith (Quammen); and his brother Norman. He is survived by: his wife Donna of Sun Prairie; his sons, Darren (Carolyn), Brian (Bridget) of Milwaukee and Garrick "Rick" (Kimberly) of Cottage Grove; his grandchildren, Cassandra "Cassie", Maya, Isabella "Bella", Alyssa and Jessica; his siblings, Lowell (Madeleine) of San Diego and Marlene Vickers (Lawrence) of Renton, WA; and his sister-in-law Donna Jo Smith of Albion, NE. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
