He was predeceased by: his parents, John Koshel and Gertrude Koshel (Kozlevcar); his sister Helen; his brother-in-law Milan Sosic (Evelyn); and his daughter Margaret "Peggy".

He is survived by: his former wife Evelyn Johnson; his wife Marilyn Klocko (Geier) of Columbus; his children, John Koshel (Susan) of Columbus, Jim Koshel (Janet) of Columbus, Deborah Harvey (Kevin) of St. Germain and Karen Steiner (Raymond) of Middleton; his grandchildren, Brooke Koshel (Jason Heman), Chelsea Showers (Troy), Courtney Harvey, Rachel Steiner, Lauren Steiner, Ava Steiner and Tony Steiner; and his great grandchildren, Talen and Palmer Showers. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
