He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Bacon and Daisy Bacon (Parsons); and his brother Paul Bacon. He is survived by: his wife Claudette Medford of Columbus; his children, Edmund Bacon (Julie) of Columbus and Amanda Olson (Jeff) of Montello; his grandchildren, Thomas Olson and Jolie Bacon; and his sisters, Gwen Rubis and Pam Huss (Mike). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Koepsell-Zeidler Funeral Home (146 S Dickason Blvd, Columbus, WI 53925). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wisconsin Parkinson Association.
