He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Ballweg and Florentina Ballweg (Breunig); his son Ronald; his brothers, Henry and Leonard; and his brothers-in-law, Herb Cooper and Bernie Schlimgen.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Miller of Columbus; his children, Dennis (Cathy) of Columbus, Mary Schuster (Gerry) of Columbus, Suzanne Neuman (Gary) of Beaver Dam and Tony (Jodie) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Andrea Wojcinski (Mark), Ben Ballweg (Connie), Chrissy Long (Jesse), Luke Ballweg (Jamie), Nicholas Neuman (Vicki), Jessica Sharon (Eric), Christopher Neuman, Alie Hayes (Dan), Hilary Henriksen (Tyler), Michael Schuster and Jacob Ballweg (Sara Khan); his great grandchildren, Matthew, David, Katelyn, Kaydence, Samuel, Talyn, Charlie, Leo, Sophie, Violet, Collins, Laikyn, Scarlett, Lawson and Wyatt; his sisters, Marie Drolshagen of Columbus, Rita Schlimgen of Indiana, Barbara Cooper of Columbus and Bernadine Mueller (Richard) of Watertown; his sister-in-law Catherine Ballweg of Columbus, AFS; and his sons, Walter of Argentina and Bill of Guatemala. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Due to the Covid-19 virus, a private family Mass of Christian Burial was held at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH in Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jerome Parish, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or American Cancer Society.
