He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph J. Derr and Irma Derr (Hess); his brother Roger; his former wives, June and Carol; and his friend Gloria.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard "Dick" (Joanie), Robert "Bob" (Derinda) and Brian (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Joshua (Misti), Jessica Hawkins (Jesse), Matthew (Jessica), Bridget and Jordan (Neve); his great grandchildren, Quinlan, Maxwell, Gabriella and Evelyn; his half-siblings, David (Pat), Dan (Cheryl), Tom (Cheryl), Kathy Weisman (Jim) and Judy Waddell; his stepchildren, Deb, Jim, Diane, Jody and Paul; and his caregivers, Melissa, Cindy, Patty and Chaplain Dennis Richards. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillside Hospice.
