He was predeceased by: his parents, Axel Madsen and Helen Madsen (Fridlund); his wife Lorraine DeKovic; his children, Robert and Shawn; his great grandchild Kimberley; and his siblings, Doris, Mildred, Pearl, Evelyn, Alice, Betty, Don, Fred, Ted and Bobby.

He is survived by: his daughters, Gayle George (Danny Colvin) and Sandy Schwartz (Dale); his grandchildren, Patrick Huggett (Christi), Aaron Huggett (Andrea), Sarah Winter (Tim Wreath) and Robert George; his great grandchildren, Ella, Anna, Cloie, Jon and Robin; and his siblings, Violet Greenwald, Eunice Weihert, Jeanette Gay and Delwood (Linda). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
