Margaret Louise (Alf) Kindschi Obituary
Margaret L. “Peggy” Kindschi, 62, of Columbus, WI and formerly of Beloit, WI, died Monday, September 3, 2012 at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus, WI. She was born March 27, 1950 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Louis and Margaret (Mair) Alf. Peggy was not just a devoted wife and a caring mother, but also shared her love of reading and educating with the many communities she worked for over 42 years. She was a 1969 graduate of Beloit Turner High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from UW-Whitewater and Master's Degree in Library Science in 1984 from UW-Madison. Peggy married Glenn E. Kindschi at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Janesville, WI on May 27, 1983. She started her career at the Janesville Public Library and retired in March of 2012 from the Columbus Public Library as Director. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, fishing, interior design, going to movies and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn Kindschi; her son, Mark Kindschi of Westfield, WI and her daughter, Kathleen “Katie” Kindschi of Columbus, WI; her father, Louis M. Alf of Beloit, WI and many cousins and friends.
The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the Dean Cancer Center, Columbus Community Hospital and to Home Health United-Hospice.
Peggy was predeceased by her mother, Margaret (Mair) Alf and her brother Bruce Alf.
A Celebration of Peggy's Life will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the BRIAN MARK Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI with Pastor Rebecca Kindschi officiating. Interment will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Janesville, WI. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012, in the ZEIDLER Funeral Home, 146 S. Dickason Blvd., Columbus, WI and from 10:00 until time of service Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the BRIAN MARK Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI.
