He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Kirchberg and Evelyn Kirchberg (Neuman); his brother Bill Kirchberg; his siblings-in-law, Gordon Oelke, George Leutermann and Nancy Kirchberg; his nephews, Scott Kirchberg and John McCaffery; his niece Rebecca Kast; and his parents-in-law, Larry and Gladys Krueger.

He is survived by: his wife Laurie of Columbus; his children, Jodi Cox (Bill) of Virginia Beach, VA, Dawn Kaminski (Roger) of Columbus, Jeffrey Kirchberg (Roxann) of Columbus and Toni Christenson (Bret) of New Berlin; his grandchildren, Elizabeth "Lizzy", Veronica "Roni", Victoria "Tori", William Cox, Matthew Kaminski (Rachel), Rachel Gensch (Derek), Riley Kaminski, Joshua, Brady, Levi Kirchberg, Mitchell and Abigail Christenson; his great grandchildren, Kubly, Behrett Kaminski and Easton Gensch; his siblings, Darlene Oelke of Van Dyne, Virgil "Butch" Kirchberg (Pat) of Columbus, LeRoy Kirchberg (Chris) of Fall River, Barbara Leutermann of Shorewood, Marlene McCaffery (Dale) of Fall River, Sharon Schumann (Jim) of Fall River, Donna Hatzinger (Marc) of Fall River, Carol Kast (Greg) of Randolph and Mary Beth Stange (Mike) of Burnett; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen Kirchberg of Columbus, Linda Krueger of La Crosse, LuAnn Weigel (Rick) of Hobart, IN and Larry Krueger (Sandra) of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
