He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Damm and Olive Damm (Derr); his siblings, Joseph, Michael and Mary Dieringer; his sister-in-law Claire Damm (Grebe); his stepmother Helen Damm (Seidlinger); his grandson Jacob Damm; his mother-in-law Ada Kasuboske; and his brother-in-law Donald Kasuboske.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Kasuboske of Columbus; his children, Jolene O'Brion (Joe Sharkus), Maureen Jewett (John Howard), Steven Damm (Linda), Jaclyn Stauffacher (Rodney) and Ryan Damm; his sister Dorothy Jorgensen (Robert); his brother-in-law James Dieringer; and his in-law Leon Kasuboske (Janet). He is also survived by grandchildren and their spouses, along with the spouse of his late grandson; 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Jerome Catholic Church (1550 Farnham St, Columbus, WI 53925). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
As a 3rd and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Gene exemplified charity, unity, and patriotism through his service and ceremonial roles.
