It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Deborah Jean Altschwager (Columbus, Wisconsin), who passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Fritz and Gertrude Fritz; her parents-in-law, Joe Sr. and Ruth; and her brother-in-law Larry Green.
She is survived by: her husband Joe; her children, Sue Pankow of Beaver Dam and Bill Altschwager (Barb) of Denmark; her siblings, Cindy Green of Lavernia, TX, Bill Fritz (Karen) of Columbus and Kevin Fritz (Sheri) of Columbus; her grandchildren, Alec Pankow (Shayla), Morgan Pankow, Connelly Pankow, Rachel Altschwager, Dominique Kleiboer (Cole), Elexa Landvatter, Dieter Altschwager, Jordan Landvatter, Kylee Landvatter, Ashlyn Dykstra, Brock Dykstra, Connor Dykstra and Colton Dykstra; and her great grandchildren, Nora, Emilie Pankow and Aria Kleiboer. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and countless family friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Ev. Lutheran Church - Columbus (812 Western Ave, Columbus, WI 53925).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church and School.
